The original oil painting was painted while I was living in Prague around 1994.
It was part of a series I called the woman of Prague, inspired by the people I met while there. Sharka was a cabaret dancer at one of the seediest in town but I was told to be one of the best. Her performance left me mesmerized, and I was captivated by her energy
