Description: A romanticized painting done by Sam Roloff after the toad’s departure from the ship, Anna Maria, to the Americas. Shows the Toad’s lofty return to his own land. Bringing with him the same hope he gave to those in Spain, if only for a short period. Later found in a farmhouse on Blucher River, known as the “Hop-a-Long Ranch” in Sebastopol, California.
