The Geezer Gallery presents: The Ring Master by Sam Roloff

The Ring Master is a new collection of oil on canvas and limited prints by renowned Portland artist Sam Roloff to compliment Artists Repertory Theatre performance of “Tribes”.

As in life, the circus if filled with odd characters, many of which have a great deal of wisdom to share if we only look a little closer.

In his exquisite and provocative oils, Roloff uses the metaphor of the circus to explore the themes of acceptance and belonging, where one is celebrated for eccentricities, physiological and ideological differences thus creating a dynamic community where he finds his tribe.

“Much like Billy, I have found my community” – Sam Roloff
