The Orlander Series started off as a simple commission for a single painting. It soon grew into a 7 part series.
The patrons fully understood the vision of the artist “Back-Story Underpainting”and in fact helped to push it a little further to it’s natural apex.
With there simple request to have the whole painting finished by completely covering the final layer in thick white paint pushed the series to a new level.
Much like a book with a white cover, the painting now too, forced the viewer to solely focus on the texture and other hints of the layers that lie beneath.
